These images have been taken since I moved to Northern New Mexico in 2006. Living where I do in Las Vegas, (and being married to a fly fisherman), I’ve often found myself in the mountains—wandering up or down a river or stream with my camera. Searching for that moment where what I see through the viewfinder will take me to another place, a more intimate connection with what I see—a place where I can get closer to the life of the water—the color, the reflections, the environment, the flow. Time stops, the sun beats down golden and warm, trees glow, insects sing. One foot follows the other and my main concerns are seeing something and keeping my camera dry. Life is good!
